In Class 2, we are building our collaboration skills, supporting each other and working together to develop our ideas.
We learn through our projects and concepts which provide learning opportunities through lots of interesting activities and investigations. We always allow an element of flexibility to be able to respond to interests and needs that the children bring. This ensures that their learning is relevant, exciting and engaging.
Summer term project - Who is the King of the Castle?
In this project, our children will enjoy many adventure stories with Dragons and Knights as they investigate the development of castles and their purpose through time. They will locate significant castles around the UK, including Pendennis Castle in Cornwall, which we are planning to visit. They will learn about the life and achievements of Queen Elizabeth II, of King Charles III and his legacy to help care for our planet. The three concepts of power, duty and courage will be threaded throughout the project as they develop their understanding of the ever changing roles of British monarchs in history.
