Welcome to Class 1
Â
Class 1 is home to our reception (EYFS) children.Â
Our teacher is Mrs Wykes and our teaching assistants are Mrs Davis (mornings) and Miss Looms (afternoons).
Our classroom is a well organised, inviting and exciting place to learn where children access continuous provision alongside adult-led activities. We have our own Early Years garden with many opportunities for outdoor learning.Â

Summer Term 2 - How do things change?
Overview
In the second half of the summer term, we will be finding out about how things change over time. We will focus on the lifecycles of caterpillars and tadpoles as well as exploring human and animal lifecycles. Our key texts will include The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Teeny Weeny Tadpole as well as a variety of other non-fiction texts about lifecycles and seasonal changes. We will be learning about the lifecycles of animals and humans and as we move towards the end of the academic year, we will explore how we grow up and prepare for transition into Class 2.
