Welcome to Class 3!
We have Year 3 and Year 4 children in our class. 
 
We have one teacher: Miss Devonport. 
In the morning we have 2 teaching assistants: Miss Looms and Mrs Norton.

Our enquiry question for the Spring Term is "What makes us human?"

During this project, we will explore how and why scientists classify animals into different groups. We will examine what makes humans special and what distinguishes us from the rest of the animal kingdom. We will learn about civilisations and how humans create them. We will compare ecosystems, biomes and climate around the world, focussing on the impact of humanity on climate change and looking at what we might do to make a difference in our lifetime.

Optional spelling homework is set every 2 weeks.
 
In class, we focus on the same 15 spellings. It would be great if you could explore them at home too. :)
 
  •        Can you read all 15 words?
  •        Do you know the definitions of all 15 words?
  •        What sound does the underlined phoneme make?
  •        Can you think of any other words that have the same phoneme spelt in the same way.?
  •        How many of these words can you spell? Try to practise any that you find tricky.
