Cl3 had a super RE Day, answering the question: "What is it like to follow God?" The learning was a Christianity unit and we explored how Christians use the Bible and then zoomed in on the famous story of Noah and his Ark. We used drama, music and craft to explore the learning.

This week Cl1 have been exploring the Arctic through stories, videos and Google Earth đ. We found out which animals live in the extremely cold weather and how their bodies have adapted to survive in the snow.
10:15am - 27th January, 2023
During Forest school this week we made a little camp fire, lit using a flint and steel, and heated water using a Kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate for everyone. We all had our own Flint and Steel to have a go at making sparks in preparation for making our own fires next week.

Last week Cl2 worked together to achieve a set goal. They also learned about different animal families based on their body structures. Here is a science experiment to demonstrate how fish use their gills to breathe under the water.

Cl4 have put âpencil to paperâ in art where we attempted to create images from classroom stationery and we had a âblindingâ experience in science as we discovered how we actually see (linked to light reflection).

This week we have been so lucky to experience snow to support our learning on the topic "What's the weather today?" The children put on their wellies and had great fun looking for animal footprints in the snow and making and comparing their own footprints too.

Class 4 have enjoyed a busy and learning-focussed week. We have started to investigate light and how it works and we have embarked on a new art project - linked to light and shadows - where we have been introduced to the work of Vincent Bal.
